Labor Day 2010

Summer is officially over !

We spent another Labor Day weekend up at Lake Madrone. It was a great time.

We celebrated JJ’s 21st birthday and got to hang out with some good friends.

I’ll write more later, but just wanted to post a couple of the pictures I captured during the weekend.

Where We’ll Be Camping This Weekend

We’ll be at Meeks Bay on the tip of Lake Tahoe. Here is a link showing all of the facilities.

You may notice that it says “no showers” – now I’m definitely not going to like that, even if it is just for the weekend.

And Yes, I’ll be taking my iPad.

Memorial Day 2010

Memorial Day/Work Weekend for 2010 has passed for the year and thankfully no one got run over with a truck or had a tree fall on them…or ended up bleeding this year after working around the lake – yes, all of those unfortunate things have happened to us in years past.

Probably the big deal this year, however, was the 1st Annual Fishing Derby for the kids. Of course the Hicks and Gholson kids were the majority participants, so obviously we won most of the prizes.

East Coast Trip

Thank goodness for my cousin Wanda for keeping me on point !

I’ve been meaning to post this video and some pictures from my east coast trip for a long time, just never sat down and did it.

I, of course, had a GREAT time seeing my east coast family – it has been way to long since I was home (I think we figured it was about 15 years). That length of time away won’t happen again – I promise you that.

Halloween 2009

We’ve definitely kicked off the holiday season with a splash this year.

Jen did the very cool surprise party for me at the Amber House, we then attended a little neighborhood Halloween party where I ate almost everything that was on the table and Jen participated in a bit of karaoke (I did get pictures, but sorry no video).

Then we ended the weekend by celebrating Dad’s birthday with friends and family here at our house. I’m not sure it get’s any better than it is, but if it does…I can’t wait !!

Donner Lake 2009

We finally were able to do our annual trip up to the Sharp cabin at Donner Lake – we were originally supposed to go in the Winter time (around the time Isaiah was sick).

The weather was nice, the company was great and it was a great time had by all.
