Isaiah’s 6th Birthday Party

It was a party, it was a sleepover – it was all fun !

Isaiah had a handful of buddies spend the night for his Harry Potter themed birthday party.

The kids really had a great time eating, playing here at the house and at the park (when I kicked everyone out of the house so I could clean up…)

Good Day Sacramento

This week we have the kids in Art Camp at Re|Create here in Roseville. Most of you know that Jen is on the board for that organization, she even wrote a blog post for me on INFOtainment News (see that story here).

Well this morning Good Day Sacramento, the local CBS morning show did a special segment on the center and the camp.

Of course, Jordan and Isaiah got some good TV air time.

There are two segments in the video below. Watch the one titled “Recycle, Reduce, Reuse” and the one titled “Human Maze”.

Isaiah Sings For Mother’s Day

Isaiah’s class had a Mother’s Day Tea today – judging from this little video I’d say the day was pretty special for the moms.

Isaiah Wins Writing Award

On April 21st Isaiah was presented with an award for a story he wrote, entitled “The Rat.” It was a fictional story that he wrote and illustrated himself.

The award was from the Placer Area Reading Council, it was the 2010 Young Writer’s Celebration Certificate of Appreciation.I think he was more excited about the medal they have him.

Obviously Jen and I were extremely proud of him. I was unfortunate that only 2 adults could attend (it was literally standing room only at the ceremony), but have no fear, Jen and I captured all the highlights in photo and video.

Congratulations little man !!

Isaiah T-Ball

We have Isaiah all signed up and he has attended 2 practices already. T-Ball is going to be a full commitment this Fall – there are 18 games on the calendar.

8 years ago today, Jen and I welcomed our first child into the world.

It’s hard to imagine how fast the time ha gone by to see Jordan grow into her own personality and into a big 2nd grader now.

We’re very proud parents.

Thanks to everyone for coming out and sharing time with us last night at re|Create and the special family time afterwards.

Jordan’s Christmas Tradition

This past Friday Jordan presented to her class one of her favorite Christmas traditions; she chose rolling grape leaves and making sarma.

She spoke on how it tradition started with “Little Grandma” when she came to America from Armenia, and how everyone sits around the table rolling the meat in the leaves and having a good old time.

It was touching to see Jordan instructing her class for the 10 minutes of her hands-on presentation.
